What it does
A TikTok QR code opens your profile or a specific video. Type the @username or paste a link, including the short vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com links the app creates when you share.
It is a quick way to bring people from the physical world to your videos: market stalls, event banners, product packaging or a creator’s merchandise. Viewers with the app land in TikTok; others watch in the browser.
How to use
- Type your @username or paste the link of the profile or video.
- Check in the Final link that the @ or the video is the right one.
- Wait for the read check, especially after changing colors.
- Download the code for print or for a story on another network.
Examples
- A food truck banner that opens its recipe videos.
- A product tag linking to the unboxing video.
- A dance school poster with the profile of the class.
Frequently asked questions
Do short vm.tiktok.com links work?
Yes. Short share links are accepted as they are. They redirect to the video when someone scans the code.
Should I type the @?
Either way works. The @ is added in the profile address for you.
What if the video is deleted?
The code keeps the same address, which then opens an unavailable video page. Pointing to your profile lasts longer than pointing to a single video.
Is this the same as the TikTok QR code in the app?
TikTok’s app also shows a QR code for your profile. Here you choose colors, link to a specific video or short link, and download SVG or PDF in high resolution for print.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
No. The code opens TikTok directly, without passing through our servers, so there are no scan counts. Your TikTok analytics show the visits that arrive on your profile.
Privacy and permanence
Short links are kept as they are and nothing is resolved on our side: the code is made in your browser. Because it is static, it works while the profile or video exists at that address.
