What it does
A Facebook QR code opens a page, profile, group or event in one scan. You can type the page name used in its address or paste any facebook.com link, including the profile.php?id= links of profiles without a custom name.
It helps local businesses, churches, clubs and community groups gather followers from flyers and posters. The code opens the Facebook app when it is installed and the browser otherwise.
How to use
- Paste the link of the page, profile, group or event, or type the page name.
- Open the Final link with the test button to confirm it is your page.
- Choose colors and the error correction level if you like.
- Download or print the code.
Examples
- A neighborhood hardware store flyer pointing to its page.
- A poster for a charity event that opens the Facebook event.
- A sign at a sports club inviting members to the group.
Frequently asked questions
My profile has no custom name. Does it work?
Yes. Paste the profile link with profile.php?id= from the browser, or type the numeric ID. The code keeps the ID that opens the profile.
Can I link to a group or an event?
Yes. Paste the facebook.com link of the group or event. People still need to join or be allowed to see private groups.
Why is my link refused?
The link must be from facebook.com or fb.com and point to content, not to login or settings pages. Copy the address from the page itself and paste it again.
Do I need to log in?
No. You only provide the public address. Nothing connects to your Facebook account.
Will the code still work if I rename the page?
If the page address changes, the old one may stop working. Create a new code after renaming and replace the printed copies.
Privacy and permanence
Page names and numeric profile IDs stay on your device, because the address is assembled in the browser and never sent to us. A static code keeps opening the page as long as its address does not change.
