What it does

A LinkedIn QR code opens a personal profile or a company page. Choose which one it is and type the name of your public URL, the part after linkedin.com/in/ or linkedin.com/company/, or paste the full link.

It fits résumés, business cards, conference badges and job fair stands, where people want to connect right away. The code holds only the public address: no login and no access to your account.

Where do I find my public URL?

Open your profile, go to Edit public profile and URL, and copy the name after linkedin.com/in/. You can also paste the whole link from the browser.

What is the difference between profile and company?

Profiles use linkedin.com/in/ and company pages use linkedin.com/company/. When you type only the name, choosing the right option builds the right address.

Can people who are not logged in see my profile?

It depends on your public profile visibility settings on LinkedIn. People who are logged in see it as usual.

Does it work for school and showcase pages?

Yes. Paste the link of the school page or the showcase page and the code opens it.

Is a QR code better than writing the link on my résumé?

Use both. The printed link helps people who read on screen, and the code saves typing for those holding the paper.

Privacy and permanence

Only your public LinkedIn URL goes into the code, put together in your browser and never sent to us. If you edit that URL on LinkedIn, the static code stops pointing to you and needs replacing.
